The power of thoughts and why you get what you ask for
The power of thoughts? Does a thought have any power? How so? Read this article to discover what this has to do with the process of creating what you want in life.
In life, we get what we ask for. And it doesn’t matter if you intentionally or unconsciously ask for it.
Everything starts with a thought. You may or may not know that a thought is an energy. Energy creates itself. Many thoughts in the same direction will, that’s for sure, manifest in the real world. This is the process of creation. It’s quantum physics.
So, what if you start thinking only thoughts you wish to see happen in real life? Only what you want to become true…
In life, we get what we ask for
Now you surely say that it isn’t true. You say you asked for freedom and happiness; all you got was feeling imprisoned and bad.
Hmmm… let’s look closer at how this creation process works and how our subconscious mind works because it’s the same.
Everything that exists is created in someone’s mind. Everything starts with a thought. A thought is an energy. Energy wants to manifest itself. Putting a lot of thoughts in the same direction will manifest in the real world.
This is the process of creation.
The same process creates us. We use this process of creation all the time without even realizing it.
The power of thoughts
Most people unconsciously use this power to create a negative life. Because negative thoughts attract negative results.
Think about it for a sec.: you’re worrying about whether or not you’ll be able to pay next month’s mortgage fee. All your thoughts are focused on “I don’t have (enough) money… how would I pay the mortgage fee?” Add the emotions you’re feeling because of these thoughts, and there you have it–you’ve created a recipe for what you actually don’t want.
Now, imagine what the Universe’s answer would be.
… “Okay, my friend. Do you want worries and NO money? Got it. Here–more worries so you can continue to repel the money.”
The wrong expectations
We will get intentional results once we learn how to think intentional thoughts.
How come? Our subconscious mind is like the earth. It does not interfere with what we sow. Earth does not say, “Ugh, I have enough of these carrots. I’m bored. I will make potatoes from it!” Earth does not say: “Bah, I don’t like red roses; I will turn the red into blue for these roses!” Earth does not interfere. Earth is patient, works in silence, and gives us exactly what we put in it. And we KNOW that! We know we will get exactly what we put on the earth. If you put tomatoes in it, you don’t expect to get cucumbers, right? When we sow roses in the garden, we don’t expect onions to come out in spring!
And yet, that’s how most people react in real life. They sow onions and expect roses. They sow negative thoughts in our minds (onions) and expect good things (roses) to come out! They fool themselves! And then blame others. They look for who or what can possibly be the fault of that. And then cry and say they don’t have any luck in their lives. They look at the neighbor and think he’s lucky because he has roses in his garden, and they wonder what they did to the world to deserve only onions in their garden!
I know this may sound harsh. And I know taking responsibility is challenging. And I don’t mean taking responsibility for things we have no control over… things like natural disasters, other people’s behaviors, and similar. We can’t control that. But we have the choice of whether to react or respond to such circumstances and how to respond.
Why not change the output to change the input?
When the mainstream of your thoughts is negative, let’s say 85 %, then the outcome will be negative for 85%. Your thoughts fall into your subconscious mind, which executes exactly what you put in it. It is like the earth.
It is like a computer. When you type in your computer: “I am stupid, I am fat, I am ugly, nobody loves me,” are you angry with your printer when the paper comes out that says “I am stupid, I am fat, I am ugly, nobody loves me?” Do you throw a shoe at your computer or yell, “Hey, it’s your fault for everything that’s on the printed paper!”? No, because you know you put that information in it, and your computer does not interfere.
The output matches exactly the input.
Well, so works our subconscious mind. If you don’t like the output, change the input.
You get exactly what you ask for = what you think of the whole day, where you put your attention to.
Don’t be angry with your life. You are not angry with the onions, are you? You are not angry with your computer, are you? Instead of being angry (which is a total energy leak), learn how to change your thoughts to get the desired results. In other words, start changing the way you’re thinking your thoughts.
And I don’t need to tell you that you are the thinker of your thoughts because you might be beginning to realize it already. Think only about what you want to become true. And think of it as if it has already happened. Be grateful for experiencing the result.
One day, you will harvest what you sow like you know the earth will give you back what you put in it. It is never lost. Just trust whenever you receive gut feelings (or however you call them) and take action on them. Most importantly, take intentional actions and fully commit to what you want. And be mindful of the power of your thoughts.
